Why I Believe In This
I don't talk about the body from theory.I've lived it.
Before I found what I work with now, I couldn't sit for more than 30 minutes. Something as small as vacuuming the house would leave me recovering for days.
My first back surgery came when I was 18. By my early 40s I had been through three spine surgeries, with screws and hardware in my lumbar spine, followed by years of therapy and pain management. Doctors basically told me there was no real chance of improvement anymore, and that I should get used to my new normal.
I couldn't do physical work, couldn't lift or bend, and had been in pain management for several years after the last surgery with nothing lasting to show for it. So when I say I don't take my health for granted, I mean it.
Then, slowly, things began to change. First the everyday aches and pains eased. Over time my energy and recovery came back, I started sleeping better, and today, at almost 60, I feel better than I did at 40.
Last year I moved my entire house by myself, packed it, and unpacked it on the other side. Fourteen years ago I had to hire help just to clean the place we were leaving, because I couldn't do any of it. This time I did the whole thing on my own, and I didn't flare anything up.
None of it happened overnight. We built up to it slowly, consistently, and patiently, the way the body actually needs.
